Get to Know the WEMSA Board!
Every year, WEMSA holds elections for open board positions. These are volunteer positions, and the board is tasked with setting the strategic goals of the association and ensuring the association is fulfilling its mission to be a single voice for EMS professionals, ambulance services and other interested entities, and to further the continued improvement of emergency medical services throughout Kansas. After the board is elected, officers are elected by the board members.
As of the 2026 Election, we have started a new tradition and have been introducing you to some of the WEMSA board members. This will be an on-going series featuring a few board members at a time, so you can learn more about them, their EMS background, why they wanted to be on the WEMSA board, and more.
You can read about each board member below if they have already been featured. Watch for more to be added throughout the year. We hope this will help you connect with the board members, and help you feel more comfortable to reach out to them if you have any questions or concerns. They are on the board to represent the membership, so they would love to hear from you!
