Organization Overview

The Johnson Creek Mutual Hose Company was founded by volunteers to protect the village and surrounding townships. In 1976 a separate volunteer department, Johnson Creek EMS, was founded to respond to medical emergencies. In 2007 the Village of Johnson Creek created a municipal Fire and EMS department, consolidating the equipment, firefighters, and Emergency Medical Technicians into one service. Soon after, the department upgraded its level of service to Paramedic, greatly expanding the life-saving interventions available to the community.

As the village and surrounding townships have grown, so has the department’s call volume, this year projected to exceed 650 calls. Our community has a wide range of exposures to defend—working dairy and crop farms, residential developments, large commercial and industrial complexes, lengthy stretches of interstate and state highways, and recreational areas including rivers. The Johnson Creek Fire and EMS Department always stand ready to educate the public in good safety practices and respond to emergencies. Our motto is Desire to Serve.
