Breana Rinker

Breana joined WEMSA in 2022 through the Public Health AmeriCorps program as a Community Health Advocate and transitioned into her full-time role as the Health Education Coordinator in 2023. In this role, she leads the development and coordination of WEMSA's educational programming, including conferences, webinars, online courses, and specialized training opportunities that support EMS professionals across Wisconsin. She plays a key role in planning the WEMSA Annual Conference, managing speakers, workshops, and attendee engagement strategies for over 1,000 participants each year.

In addition to her education work, Breana leads WEMSA’s marketing and member communications efforts. She coordinates the biweekly Connections newsletter, supports the development of the EMS Professionals Magazine, and manages WEMSA’s social media presence to enhance engagement, promote educational opportunities, and strengthen connections across the community. Her work focuses on creating meaningful member experiences and expanding access to high-quality training and resources.

Breana has experience in public health advocacy, research, program development, and strategic communications, and has managed multiple grant-funded initiatives that expand hybrid and online learning opportunities. She actively collaborates with healthcare organizations, educational institutions, and state partners to build impactful programming and advance WEMSA’s mission.

She holds dual Bachelor’s degrees in Public Health and Psychology from the University of Iowa, with a minor in Gender, Health, and Healthcare Equity. Breana also holds a Community Health Worker Certification through Milwaukee Area Health Education Center and is certified in Mental Health First Aid.
