Alan DeYoung, MHA, MS

Alan started with WEMSA in 2018 as the Sales & Marketing Director and was promoted in late 2020 to Executive Director. He holds a Masters in Healthcare Administration (MHA), a Masters in Strategic Marketing (MS), and a Bachelors in Information Technology (BS). He is a current doctoral student for his Doctorate in Healthcare Administration (DHA) program. Alan serves as WEMSA’s legislative liaison and association lobbyist, working alongside the association’s contract lobbyist to support its advocacy and government relations efforts.

Alan’s professional experience includes entrepreneurship as a small business owner in remodeling and construction, along with leadership roles in data analytics and medical supply sales. In addition to his role at WEMSA, Alan is the past president of the National EMS Museum, serves on the Board of the WEMSA Foundation, and is a Wisconsin HOSA partner, educator, and advisor. His areas of expertise include organizational operations, technology and automation, marketing and communications, strategic planning, and nonprofit leadership.
