How to Use the Career Center

Logging in for the FIRST TIME? If you are the admin for your department account and are logging in for the first time, you can reset your password using the Forgot Password? form. If you do not receive any password reset e-mail within a reasonable amount of time, please contact the WEMSA Staff at wemsa@wisconsinems.com.
Logging in Instructions:
If your department has an active WEMSA Membership, you can click the (briefcase icon) for Employers and click Log in. The e-mail address will be the main department contact e-mail we have on file. If you are unable to log in under your department account, please e-mail the WEMSA Staff at wemsa@wisconsinems.com.
If you are not an active WEMSA Member department and would like to use the job board, you can easily create one at no cost. After you have created an account, you will be prompted to select a subscription before you will be able to post a job.
After you have logged into your account, you can choose a plan that suits your needs. Members can select the Basic Plan at no cost. You have the option to select one of our other Plan Options as well: Featured Plan, Recruitment Plan (see below for details).
(if you have already picked your plan previously, when you select Post a Job, you will be taken to a Post a Job form.)
After you have selected your plan, you can fill in your job information:
At the bottom, you can decide how you want applicants to apply. We recommend choosing Directly or By Link and add in the link to your job post if it's posted on a municipal website or employer website.
Preview Listing and complete your purchase. If you are on the Free Plan, there will be no cost/ charge.

As part of your WEMSA Department Member benefits, departments can create a free account on our WEMSA Career Center and post no cost unlimited 30-day basic job postings.

Options to Upgrade Job Postings:

Members organizations can choose 2 additional plans with both a monthly and annual payment option.

Featured Plan is $30 / month with an option to save 20% on an annual option.

Recruitment Plan is $50 / month with an option to save 20% on an annual option.

  • Unlimited 30-Day Featured Job Postings - Automatically highlighted and pushed to the top with other featured job posts.
  • New Job Posts get posted to WEMSA's Social Media Channels*
  • New Job Posts get added to WEMSA Connection eNewsletter*

Once you've logged in as an Employer, you will be taken to your Employer Dashboard:
You will see tabs for:
  • Profile (this is your organization's profile information)
  • Jobs (this will show your posted and previously posted jobs)
  • Applicants (view all applications for your open jobs)
  • Billing (find invoices for active subscriptions and billing details)
  • Subscriptions (view any active subscriptions)
  • Team (invite anyone involved in your hiring process - NOTE: these individuals do not connect with your department roster. This is meant for HR Managers, municipal officials (if applicable), etc. to assist with managing recruitment.)
