Gov. Tony Evers will announce today that the Safer At Home order will be extended through Tuesday, May 26, in the state of Wisconsin, but the revised order will allow certain businesses and activities to ramp up services and operations. The governor's current Safer At Home order was set to expire on Friday, April 24.
Gov. Evers is directing Wisconsin Department of Health Services Secretary-Designee Andrea Palm to issue the order.
In addition to extending the order for one month, the order:
Allows golf courses to open with restrictions.
Keeps schools closed for the remainder of the 2019-20 school year.
Allows non-essential businesses to be able to do more things as minimum basic operations, including deliveries and curbside pickup.
