General Duties:

Have passed Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) no more than two years ago, ability to pass a CPAT within one year of hire, or one year of service in the last two years with the Fire District documenting ability to work as FF/Paramedic with no deficiencies. Fiserv Forum is our largest venue and provides a lot of opportunities to provide services at concerts, Bucks games, and other gatherings. We also provide services at the Milwaukee County Zoo and Milwaukee Admirals games; which are the primary venue locations. We are seeking TEN new Hourly EMS Paramedics to cover special event venues where large crowds are anticipated and medical coverage is necessary due to crowd size and/or event type.

Job Summary: The Hourly EMS Paramedic will operate within the Wisconsin State EMS Scope of Practice as approved within the Treatment Guidelines of Milwaukee County OEM-EMS. Providers are expected to respond promptly to requests for service, assess and provide appropriate treatment, and complete documentation of the patient encounter. Providers are also expected to properly train and prepare to respond to unique situations, sometimes challenging, within different venues.



Position Duties:

Immediately respond to requests for service when notified of an event requiring medical assessment and treatment.
Thoroughly document the entire patient encounter consistent with expectations of Milwaukee County OEM-EMS.
Accurately document events, provide information for CQIP, and provide information on risk assessments to the venues we serve.
Complete annual LMS training as required by the county and the Office of EMS. Complete in-house training or specialized training sessions as mandated by the EMS Division.
Work with EMS Supervisor to assess risks of events and prepare equipment accordingly. Follow direction of EMS Supervisor for staffing positions to provide optimal coverage for the event.
Complete inventory lists and ensure equipment is functioning and stocked appropriately.
Ensure 100% compliance with Narcotic Guidelines and comply 100% with accountability checks.
Perform all other duties as assigned.

Job Summary: We are seeking a part-time Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Supervisor to schedule, manage, and supervise the hourly EMS staff and paramedics who provide medical care at contracted community events; responsible for approximately 40 direct reports. This position will also provide on-site coordination and supervision of the EMS operations at Fiserv Forum events. This will be an hourly PT (20-30 hours per week) position, depending on events which are occurring. Expected availability for this position will be days, evenings, and occasional nights.

Position Duties:

Meet with contracted community special event operations staff to address staffing needs and develop the EMS operational plan for these events. Provide on scene coordination and supervision of EMS services during special events as required following the Incident Command Structure (ICS).
Schedule and manage required staffing at special events.
Review 100% of patient care records/charts in accordance with the Quality Assurance review workflow. Report any issues through the CQIP process.
Manage medical supplies for contracted community events. Submit orders in a timely manner.
Actively attend and participate in leadership meetings as well as conduct meetings to keep crews well informed.
Participate in situational projects based on the needs of the office.
Perform all other duties as assigned.

"The CORE (Community Oriented Regional EMS) Team is a mission-based organization with contracted EMS providers throughout the county. The first mission will be COVID-19 specimen collections at testing sites. We believe that this team can have a hugely meaningful impact on the fight against COVID-19 and help to make our community safer.



Job Summary: We are seeking approximately twenty (20) part-time Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) to work in concert with advanced life support providers to triage and provide medical care at contracted community events. This will be a be 200 hours per year position, depending on events which are occurring. Expected availability for this position will be days, evenings, and occasional nights. This equates to approximately two 8-hour shifts a month.

Position Duties:

Immediately respond to requests for service when notified of an event requiring medical assessment and treatment.
Thoroughly document the entire patient encounter consistent with expectations of Milwaukee County OEM-EMS. Accurate documentation is essential to record events, provide information for CQIP, and to provide information on risk assessments to the venues we serve.
Complete annual LMS training as required by the county and the Office of EMS. Complete in-house training or specialized training sessions as mandated by the EMS Division.
Work with EMS Supervisor to assess risks of events and prepare equipment accordingly. Follow direction of EMS Supervisor for staffing positions to provide optimal coverage for the event. Complete inventory lists and ensure equipment is functioning/stocked appropriately.
Perform all other duties as assigned.


Minimum REQUIRED Qualifications

Resident of the United States of America
Valid driver's license; which must be maintained throughout employment
High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required
State of Wisconsin EMT/Paramedic certification REQUIRED at time of application
CPR certification required at time of application
At least one (1) year of experience working in Paramedicine and/or Emergency Medical Services role
Experienced in the use of emergency medical equipment (e.g. AED, Cardiac Monitor Defibrillator, radios)
Basic experience with the use of personal computers
Able to lift/carry/push/pull up to 100 pounds on a regular basis
Ability to make informed/independent decisions quickly
Support Milwaukee County missions with a focus on health equity
Thorough understanding of incident command structure and functions
ICS 100, 200, 700 and 800 certifications within 6 months of start date
On the National Paramedic Registry (NREMT) is preferred


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of basic Emergency Medical Terminology; knowledge of common emergency medical services forms and reports; skilled at analysis/reasoning, communication/interpretation, math/mental computation, reading, sustained mental activity (i.e. auditing, problem solving, composing reports). Ability to maintain sensitive or confidential information, explain and gather information, answer queries, or aid internal and/or external contacts. Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, reports, short correspondence and memos.
