AB-88 February 22, 2007 An Act to amend state statutes to allow special distinguishing vehicle registration plates associated with first responders.
AB-483 August 9, 2007 Among many other changes, this bill seeks to renumber many of the current EMS statutes under 146.5X to other sections of the statutes including 256.XX and others.
SB-267 September 19, 2007 Provides for special distinguishing license plates for motorcycles owned or leased by fire fighters, rescue squad members, or emergency medical technicians.

An Act relating to terminating a tenancy for imminent threat of serious physical harm, making leases that restrict access to certain services void and unenforceable, and prohibiting the imposition of fees for local government police, fire and emergency services. Has since been amended to delete all references to prohibiting the imposition of fees for local police, fire and EMS. This bill is no longer related to EMS.
SB-286 October 10, 2007 Increases eligibility for free UW or VOTEC college tuition the child of a firefighter or EMS provider killed in the line of duty. Currently the child must be at or below the age of 21. This bill would increase the age limit to 30.
AB-531 October 11, 2007 An Act to provide a technical fix to a prior bill relating to the frequency of wage payments to volunteer fire fighters and emergency medical technicians. This bill would allow for quarterly payments in addition to others.

Under this bill, ambulance service providers may certify to the Department of Revenue for the collection debts related to providing ambulance services to individuals in this state through deduction of their tax refund.

AB-812 February 15, 2008 Bill would prohibit employment discrimination because of temporary absence from work for not more than 10 hours per year for the purpose of responding to an emergency call as a volunteer fire fighter, emergency medical technician, first responder, or ambulance driver.
