Did you hear that?
May 5
, 2008
If you have your speakers turned on and hang out for a short time here on our main page, you're likely to hear something that you've never heard before.

Oftentimes a claim or statement is made as to some group or organization being the first or the only to do something. We have made such claims in the past as well. However, this time we are absolutely, positively, certain that the Wisconsin EMS Association is the very first and the only EMS organization to have its own jingle package! The reason for having a jingle? Actually, there are many. We will use these in all of our media productions including at the conference, on our web site, in our conference and EMS Cruise videos and in future products and services planned for 2009 and beyond. Even our PowerPoint presentations will play one of the jingle clips. The entire package includes more than a dozen versions and variations. We'll keep this one on-line for a while. If you want to hear it again, either return to the main page, or reload your browser to have it play again.

April 5
, 2008
Following over three years of planning and effort, the Wisconsin EMS Association will finally, formally announce that they have purchased 1.3 acres of land to house the new Wisconsin EMS Association headquarters and offices. The purchase offer became final on April 4. Closing is planned for May 5. The existing building on the premises will then be removed, clearing the way for construction to begin around June 1. Plans call for completion of the project by the end of the year. The future address of the Wisconsin EMS Association will be 26422 Oak Ridge Drive. See the Location Map. The location is less than 500 feet away, and can be seen, from State Highway 36, just south of the cities of Muskego and Franklin. Highway 36 is a four lane highway running from 27th Street in Milwaukee to Lake Geneva. The office is easily accessed from Interstate I-94 and I-43. More information will be included in the next editions of the Hot Sheets and EMS Professionals. A new web page designed to monitor daily progress has now been launched. See the current set of building drawings here.
